The George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF), a nonprofit operating foundation founded was founded by the filmaker in 1991. GLEF utilized media, especially its mulitmedia website, a new magazine, Edutiopia: The New World of Learning, and documentary films, to tell inspiring stories of how interactive technologies are transforming Americas schools.
